Hooven Bog is safe from development but must be tended to . . .
|
First off, round of applause to all of our supporters, thank you!
The next steps after Snohomish County's purchase of the bog (click here for details) will need a copious amount of organization and attention to detail. Restoration in several areas needs to be done to reverse the damage done by unpermitted development work in the last several years. We will be partnering with the County and may ask folks for help in planning and implementation of restoration and maintenance. Please leave your name, email and/or phone number on our contact page as we create an official support ledger so that folks will know who was responsible for this historical preservation and environmental win!! It is expected that an educational interpretive facility will be set in place on the 8+ acres adjacent to the west end of the wetland. |
